The general formula for this is to take the older person's age, halve it and then add 7 to find out the youngest person they should be dating. A friend of mine who is 15 is dating a 22 year old guy.
Do you think its right that a 22 year old is dating a 15 year old highschool student? I think 15 is awfully young, though, when you're talking about a partner in his 20s. Pedophilia is associatied with all girls and boys who are minors, girls and boys who are to young to give legal consent and usually thats the age of 18 although in some states its 17[QUOTE="Mr Lions"]A friend of mine who is 15 is dating a 22 year old guy.
The problem is maturity - a 15 year old is NOT going to be the same person at 22 that she was at 15. The general formula for this is to take the older person's age, halve it and then add 7 to find out the youngest person they should be dating. It bothers me that shes with a guy who is that old. Should I tell my friends mom or should I just let it go? The problem is maturity - a 15 year old is NOT going to be the same person at 22 that she was at 15. If a 15yr old guy gets a 22 yr old girl, hes pretty much a god in the eyes of his friends.
So my niece is 17 and she often texts me asking for advice when she doesn't want to tell her mum. If she were 27 and he were 25 it wouldn't be a problem. If she really likes him, and did before she knew his age, then his age or hers shouldn't even come into it.
we have not had sex yet and my girlfriend is the one wanting to more then me because i feel that she needs to be 100 percent sure she wants to do it before she does.
Her mother at first was not ok with it but began to get to know me and is completely ok with it and i come over regularly and visit her mom and her sisters and even take her sisters to the movies for fun time to relieve her mom of some stress.
She texted me this morning telling me she met a boy and really likes him but has only just found out that he is 15 (18 months younger than her). I think as long as she knows she shouldn't be having sex with him until hes a bit older then its fine. As for people making fun - they're jealous because she has a toyboy!! We didnt dtd until after he was 16 which was only a few weeks after we started seeing each other.
She says that he acts older but doesn't want people to say nasty things to her as she is quite sensitive. Should she go for it as she liked him before she found out his age or is it a bit inappropriate due to her age...
