I recently bought a new Linksys wireless router and after setting it up with basic WEP security, I tried to logon from my laptop and was successful! So then I tried to connect from my desktop computer that has a wireless USB adapter attached to it and I ended up getting this error message: Fabulous! I checked my settings on the wireless router to make sure I didn’t accidentally setup certificate security, but found no such thing.
Also, since I was able to connect from my laptop with no problem, it led me to believe it was something wrong with my desktop.
I moved the selection tab to WPA2 only and keep the rest the same and no luck.
Uncheck "The key is provided for me automatically" and enter and confirm your Network key.I am using the Windows Wireless Connection Manager. On a couple of occasions I've seen that particular AP (don't know what firmware) suddenly stop attempting to authnenticate clients (it never sends any RADIUS requests) and power-cycling the AP "fixes" the issue.I suspect a firmware upgrade probably fixes that behaviour. If you want to accept both computer credentials and user credentials you'll need to name both "Domain Comptuers" and "Domain Users" in your policy. The weird part is that I was using WPA TKIP with the passphrase and it was working fine.I moved the selection tab to WPA2 only and keep the rest the same and no luck. Ok so I setup the router to only transmit wireless N and to use WPA2 only.
