Hi, a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

If you buy one people may still "think" it’s a normal PDA but wait – it’s far more than that. When I first heard that it came with a trackball I thought back to an old arcade game in the local pub – it was called the "Crystal Maze" and involved a huge amount of trackball spinning. Let’s look at something it doesn’t have – most noteably there’s no 3G and no Wi Fi. Is it just me that wants a device with GPS, Wi Fi, 3G, a QWERTY keyboard, hi-res camera and a numeric keyboard? As a quick comparison I put the MDA Compact III next to an Orange SPV M3100 / T-Mobile MDA Vario II.

It would be fair to say that I didn’t like the idea of a trackball much. There’s something else the MDA Compact III has – GPS. No seperate box, no extra bluetooth thingy to charge up – it’s inside. In space there’s millions of pounds worth of satellites floating around, beaming location information right back down to this tiny box of tricks. As you can see it’s a lot slimmer and more lightweight.

So try this configuration - it works fine for me: HKLM\\SOFTWARE\HTC\Quick GPS\0\0\IP - I do not have this problem but I checked on my Artemis and the above file is named "packed Ephemeris.ee" Note the caps of the second E.The GPS data is storde in the file "packedephemeris.ee" These File you can load here: only have to replace it in the windows folder. Quick GPS shows that the Data is not valid but the Fix is much faster. That could let Quick GPS see a valid data when you use this method. This can be used by the mobile alone, you cant use it on your computer like other bluetooth GPS'.

That could let Quick GPS see a valid data when you use this method. This can be used by the mobile alone, you cant use it on your computer like other bluetooth GPS'.

I hope this will help some people Greetings meer Wow, my GPS fix just went from prox. is it possible to do a registry entry for the internet explorer XDA ORBIT /Artemis HTC, that I can save the file directly to the windows folder? I can still update manually via the web link given in this thread.

It saves up alot of time, because of the delay opening the windows folder Originally Posted by Glebby The solution above will not work, because IP parameter is supposed to be only host name, and Quick GPS combines the full path based on the IP, Port, Folder and File Name.
