I see dating as a way of two individuals having no desire to be seriously committed. It's not for you to take matters into your own hands to "find" anything. Both people are trying to be someone they're not, instead of placing their real qualities on the table. I'm sure the most upright, man of God isn't constantly searching for a needle in a haystack.
I must also mention that just because you are dating someone that does not mean that you should sleep with them (see my blog here). The way I see it is that I would rather go out on a date with someone, with no expectations and get to know them to see if they are someone that I would even consider going out on a second date with before I enter into a courtship.
What is the difference between courting and dating in reality?
Courting was the sum of actions through which two people showed interest in one another before the announcement of an official engagement was made.
