When you connect to a wireless network, the settings and profile of that specific network is saved on your computer so that you won’t have to re-enter your network credentials, such as the wireless security key to connect the next time.
The generic settings below will allow you to configure a wireless device to connect to eduroam.
This is where your computer or wireless device connects to become part of your wireless network. Check whether the laptop has a WIFI button, make sure the WIFI is on. Removing wireless network profiles on your computer may improve your wireless connectivity to your current wireless network. If you are not sure, please login the management page to double check.
The network name for the secure wireless network is eduroam. The wireless Network Authentication type is WPA2 Enterprise. If your wireless device does not support WPA2/AES, select WPA authentication and TKIP encryption.
The "EAP Authentication Type" or "Outer Authentication Protocol" is PEAP or PEAPv0. Your password should be the password you use to access Office 365. If asked for an "Outer Identity", "Anonymous Identity" or "Roaming Identity", leave it blank. You should choose to Validate the Server Certificate.
