The 2017 ‘Maritzburg City Marathon takes place at am on Sunday 26th February 2017.
This race has become the most popular marathon and half marathon combination in Kwa Zulu-Natal.
Green decided that the challenge should be tested in full public view, and organised the first event.
The first woman to run the race was Ann King in 1981.
Registration opens from April 19 11am-8pm until Saturday April 22 9am-5pm at the London Marathon Exhibition and all runners must attend at least one day.
through Woolwich, Greenwich, Isle of Dogs, Tower of London and London Bridge before finishing at The Mall past Buckingham Palace.
Lynton Kynloch has designed a “figure 8” trail course along the banks of the Umsinduzi River.At the southern end of the Long Walk is the Copper Horse, a statue of King George III astride a mount.Erected in 1831, the statue commemorates his significant contribution to the development of the Great Park, including the introduction of commercial farms.They should bring the registration letter and valid ID with a photograph (ie passport or driving licence) so they can collect their running number.All competitors must register at the Expo before the race.
